How does a hydraulic pump work and where is it used?
A hydraulic pump converts mechanical energy (from an engine or an electric motor) into the energy of a fluid under pressure, driving the cylinders and hydraulic motors of the machine. It is one of the most important components in construction, agricultural and industrial machinery, from excavators and loaders, through forklift trucks, to tractors and aerial work platforms.
What types of hydraulic pump are there?
- Gear pumps: the most common, fixed displacement, simple and robust, and they suit most machines.
- Piston pumps: for high pressures and variable-displacement circuits (for example travel and hydrostatic drives).
- Vane pumps: quieter, with an even flow, and popular in forklift trucks and steering circuits.
How do I choose a hydraulic pump for a machine?
The surest way is by the catalogue number on the data plate of the old pump, or by the make and model of the machine it has to fit. What matters is the displacement (cm³ per revolution), the direction of rotation, the type of shaft and flange, and the ports. If the original is unavailable or expensive, we match a proven replacement with the same specification.

An original is a part from the manufacturer of the machine or pump; a replacement is an equivalent with the same specification, usually cheaper. Both work, and we choose the one that better suits your budget and availability.
Can the price of a pump be negotiated?
Yes. Every pump has a “Negotiate the price” button. In the enquiry you can state your own proposal, and we reply with an offer by e-mail.
I do not know the pump number. Can you help identify it?
Yes. The catalogue number is usually stamped on the pump body or on the data plate. If it is illegible, send a photo of the pump and its data plate and give the make and model of the machine. On that basis we will identify the right pump or replacement.
What is the warranty on a hydraulic pump?
Every pump comes with a 12-month warranty from delivery. We also advise on selection for the specific working conditions, so that the pump lasts as long as possible.
What currency are the prices in, what is the delivery time, and do you ship abroad?
Prices are in zlotys (PLN), net of VAT, and indicative. The price in our quote for the specific pump is binding, and the quote also confirms availability, delivery time and cost (we order pumps from the manufacturer or a distributor). We ship across Poland and, on request, abroad.
