What is the PB S225-12ES used for?
The PB S225-12ES is a self-propelled scissor lift made by the German company PB Lifttechnik, with electro-hydraulic drive: two 8 kW electric motors power the pumps for the drive, steering and lifting circuits. Proportional control of all movements (driving, raising, lowering) lets you position the platform precisely under a ceiling or structure. The machine can be driven at full height at 0.13 km/h, and when stowed at up to 1.63 km/h.
With 22.5 m of working height, the machine is only 1.22 m wide and its wheels steer through 90°, so it fits through passages and gates that wide rough terrain scissor lifts cannot pass. At the push of a button, the patented PB outrigger system levels the platform automatically; the manufacturer states that this also makes it suitable for work in towns, on pavements and in confined spaces, both indoors and outdoors.
When planning the job, take the weight of the machine into account: according to the manufacturer's manual, the unladen weight is 10,290 kg and the wheel load reaches up to 78.94 kN, so floors, floor slabs and mezzanines along the route must have adequate load-bearing capacity. For transport the guardrails fold down, giving the machine a height of 2.73 m.
