What is the JLG Toucan 12E Plus used for?
The JLG Toucan 12E Plus is the tallest self-propelled vertical mast lift in the RK Rental catalogue: the platform rises to a height of 10.65 m, and the arm with jib moves the platform up to 6.2 m sideways. This reach lets you service light fittings above production lines, ventilation ducts above racking or roof structure elements of a hall from a single position, without driving under each point separately.
The lift has electric drive (2WD) and non-marking tyres, so it works in industrial halls, shopping centres and production plants without exhaust fumes or marks on the floor. A width of 1.2 m, a length of 3.65 m and a height of 1.99 m allow it to pass through industrial doors and wider doorways, and an inner turning radius of 0.75 m (outer 2.60 m) makes manoeuvring in aisles easier. A maximum of two people can work on the 0.70 × 1.05 m platform (up to 200 kg in total).
When choosing, pay particular attention to the ground: the machine weighs 4,900 kg and the maximum ground pressure is 14.0 kg/cm², so on floor slabs, mezzanines and floors with limited load-bearing capacity this must be agreed with the facility manager. The 0.1 m ground clearance requires a level surface without high thresholds. Compared with the smaller Toucan 10E L, the 12E Plus gives noticeably greater vertical and sideways reach, at the cost of width and weight.
