About Niftylift
Niftylift is a British manufacturer of compact, lightweight articulating boom lifts, founded in 1985 by Roger Bowden in Bedfordshire. Its first product was the trailer-mounted Nifty 120, and the company soon moved to Milton Keynes, where its headquarters and production remain to this day.
The brand specialises in articulating boom lifts: trailer-mounted (Nifty series) and self-propelled (HeightRider/HR series). It is a pioneer of hybrid drive: in 2007 it introduced the world's first true parallel hybrid drive in an aerial work platform, and in 2018 the second generation, Gen2 Hybrid.
Niftylift has developed its own safety systems: SiOPS (operator crush protection) and the ToughCage basket. The company has twice received the British Queen's Award for Enterprise, and its founder has received the IPAF Lifetime Achievement award.
About three quarters of production is exported to more than 60 countries; the brand has subsidiaries and hubs in the USA, Germany and the Netherlands. Niftylift is strongly associated with eco-friendly hybrid and electric drive.
