UDT maintenance inspections of aerial lifts

Regular maintenance inspections of aerial work platforms (mobile elevating work platforms, MEWPs, cherry pickers) at the intervals required by the regulations, with an entry in the maintenance log and preparation for inspections by UDT (Urząd Dozoru Technicznego, the Polish Office of Technical Inspection). We carry them out on site, travelling to the machine.

Book a maintenance inspection

A maintenance inspection is a mandatory, cyclical check of the technical condition of a device that is subject to technical supervision. Lifts and mobile elevating work platforms must be maintained at the intervals given in the operating manual and in the regulations, and every inspection is confirmed with an entry in the maintenance log.

We carry out maintenance inspections of lifts of all brands: scissor, articulating, telescopic and vertical mast. We check the hydraulics, electrics, mechanics and safety systems, adjust and remove minor faults on the spot, and plan larger repairs so that work on the construction site is not stopped.

Regular maintenance is not only a formal requirement. It also means passing the UDT technical inspection smoothly and a lower risk of breakdowns. We carry out the inspections on site, travelling to the machine, to a construction site or your company premises.

What do you gain by ordering maintenance inspections from us?

Deadlines under control

We keep track of the dates of maintenance inspections, so the machine always complies with the regulations and is ready for work.

Entry in the maintenance log

We confirm every inspection with an entry in the maintenance log, with documentation kept in order.

Ready for UDT inspections

Regular maintenance means the machine passes the UDT technical inspection smoothly, with no surprises and no downtime.

We travel to the site

We carry out inspections on site: we drive to the machine, to a construction site or your company premises.

What does a maintenance inspection of a lift include?

  • Maintenance inspections of aerial work platforms of all brands
  • Checks of the systems: hydraulics, electrics, mechanics, safety systems
  • Checks of limiters, sensors and emergency lowering systems
  • Adjustments, lubrication and replacement of wear items
  • Entry in the maintenance log and service documentation
  • Preparation of the machine for the UDT technical inspection

How does a maintenance inspection work, step by step?

  1. 1

    Agreeing the date

You report the machine and its location. We agree the date of the inspection so that the required intervals between inspections are kept.

  2. 2

    Travel and inspection

The maintenance technician travels to the site and carries out the inspection in line with the manufacturer's requirements and the technical supervision regulations.

  3. 3

    Adjustments and minor repairs

On site we adjust and remove minor faults. Larger repairs we quote and plan so that work is not stopped.

  4. 4

    Entry and documentation

We confirm the inspection with an entry in the maintenance log and hand over the documentation useful at the UDT inspection.

Frequently asked questions about maintenance inspections

How often does an aerial lift need a maintenance inspection?

At the intervals given in the operating manual and in the technical supervision regulations. For mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs), a maintenance inspection is usually carried out about every 30 days, unless the documentation of the machine states otherwise. Every inspection is confirmed with an entry in the maintenance log.

What is the difference between a maintenance inspection and a UDT inspection?

A maintenance inspection is carried out by a maintenance technician (the service) and confirms the day-to-day working order of the machine with an entry in the maintenance log. The technical inspection is carried out by a UDT inspector (UDT is the Polish Office of Technical Inspection) and is the formal condition for allowing the machine to be operated. Regular maintenance inspections prepare the machine to pass the UDT inspection without problems.

Who may carry out a maintenance inspection of a UDT-supervised machine?

A person holding maintenance technician qualifications for the given category of equipment. Our maintenance technicians inspect mobile elevating work platforms in line with the manufacturer's requirements and the technical supervision regulations.

Do you come to the site for the inspection, to a construction site?

Yes. We carry out maintenance inspections on site: we drive to the machine, to a construction site or your company premises, in a specialised service van, so you do not have to transport the equipment.

What is recorded after a maintenance inspection?

We confirm the scope of the work done and the condition of the machine with an entry in the maintenance log. We also keep service documentation, which is useful at UDT inspections and when the machine is sold.

Do you inspect machines from outside your own fleet?

Yes. We carry out maintenance inspections of aerial lifts of all brands, regardless of where the equipment was bought or rented.

Keep your inspections on time, and we will remind you
