Genie error codes
Genie S and Z boom lifts: ‘source + error type’ codes (S-40, S-45, S-80, S-85, Z-60/34, Z-51/30J)
The code is made up of two two-digit numbers: the source of the error (red LED) and the error type (yellow LED) on the ALC-500 controller board in the platform control box; the LEDs flash out the first and the second number in turn. Two short alarm beeps on the platform every 30 seconds indicate a stored error. In our database 21-11 means source 21, type 11. Reading the code requires opening the control box, so it is done by service. Below are 81 codes with the original message from the manufacturer's manual and its description. They apply to these machines: Genie S-40, S-45, S-80, S-85, Z-60/34, Z-51/30J. The descriptions are quoted from the manufacturer's service documentation and are for guidance only. Clearing codes, calibrations and repairs are carried out by a qualified service technician according to the manual for the specific serial number. A machine with an active blocking code must not be used until the cause has been removed.
