The Genie display shows this message as “SECONDARY BOOM SWITCH TIMEOUT — TOO MUCH TIME HAS ELAPSED FROM WHEN LSS1RO IS RELEASED AND LSS1RS IS RELEASED ON EXTEND AND LSS1RS IS ENGGED AND LSS1RO IS ENGAGED. OR THE JOYSTICK WAS ENGAGED THREE TIMES IN THE INTERVAL.”. It is a blocking fault or a safety-related code: do not use the machine until the cause has been found and removed.
Effect on the machine: Inhibit Secondary Boom Extend if the fault occurs.
Possible causes
The manual does not list the causes for this code: the service technician establishes them during diagnosis of the machine.
What you can do
Switch the machine off with the emergency stop and switch it on again. If the code comes back, do not use the machine and call service.
Solution from the manual
If the fault occurs on extend, retract boom until LSS1RO is engaged and try again. Check LSS1RS and LSS1RO for physical damage and proper operation.
