Genie error code 51 — No power output from ECM to the parallel/series valve coil OR ECM does not sense the parallel/series valve coil.

Code 51 occurs in machines: Genie GS-2668 RT, GS-3268 RT.

The Genie display shows code 51 with the message “No power output from ECM to the parallel/series valve coil OR ECM does not sense the parallel/series valve coil”. It is a blocking fault or a safety-related code: do not use the machine until the cause has been found and removed.
Effect on the machine: Machine will not drive.
Possible causes
- No power output from ECM to parallel/series valve coil (schematic item W).
- bad valve coil.
What you can do
Switch the machine off with the emergency stop and switch it on again. If the code comes back, do not use the machine and call service.
Solution from the manual
Check wiring and terminal at the parallel/series valve coil (schematic item W) OR replace valve coil.
