What is the Haulotte HA260 PX used for?
The Haulotte HA260 PX is a large rough terrain cherry picker with an articulating boom, designed for tasks that require both height and long horizontal reach. The 38 kW (52 hp) Deutz F4L 1011 F engine, 4×4 drive and 42 cm of ground clearance let it travel across construction sites and unsurfaced ground, while the 150 l fuel tank reduces refuelling stops. As a diesel machine, it is intended primarily for outdoor use.
Two people work on the platform, and a 220 V / 16 A socket lets you power electric tools without running an extension lead from the ground. A jib tilting through 140° (+70° / −70°), 180° hydraulic platform rotation and 360° continuous turret rotation make it easier to position the platform precisely at a façade, parapet or roof structure. Emergency lowering is performed by a battery-powered electric pump, so the platform can be brought down even with the engine switched off.
When choosing, take its size into account: a weight of 14,150 kg, width of 2.38 m and stowed length of 11.9 m require a prepared access route and space for unloading. Ground pressure reaches 16.0 daN/cm² on concrete and 4.6 daN/cm² on soft ground, so on weak ground it is worth planning for ground mats. Compared with lower articulating MEWPs, the 14.6 m outreach lets you cover a larger section of façade from a single position.
