What is the Genie GS-3246 used for?
The Genie GS-3246 is a scissor lift on the boundary between narrow and wide machines: with a width of 1.17 m, it offers a 2.26 × 1.15 m platform and a 318 kg capacity. The 11.75 m working height allows work beneath the ceilings of warehouses, production halls and sports halls, while electric power and non-marking tyres also allow its use in operational buildings such as shopping centres and office buildings.
Its greatest advantage in day-to-day work is driving with the platform raised: the operator moves along the installation without coming down. The zero inside turning radius (2.29 m outside) makes manoeuvring between racks easier. The 0.91 m deck extension lets you reach over an obstacle, and 1.09 m guardrails with a 15 cm toe board protect people and tools.
The platform takes 2 people indoors or 1 person outdoors. The unladen weight of 2,812 kg is a useful figure when driving onto floor slabs and mezzanines. Compared with the GS-3232, this scissor lift has a higher capacity (318 kg versus 227 kg) and a wider platform, at the cost of a width that will not fit through 0.9 m doors.
