What is the JLG 3246ES used for?
The JLG 3246ES is an electric scissor lift with a platform height of 9.68 m. The 320 kg capacity lets fitters go up together with their tools and materials, and the 1.27 m deck extension gives access to spots above an obstacle, such as a rack or a ventilation duct, without repositioning the machine. Non-marking tyres and no exhaust fumes make this platform well suited to operational warehouses, shops and production halls.
When choosing, consider the number of people: indoors the platform is rated for two people, outdoors for one. The 1.17 m width is enough to pass through gates and double doors, and with the guardrails folded the machine is about 2 m high. The unladen weight of 2,725 kg and the maximum ground pressure of 6.98 kg/cm² must be compared with the load capacity of the floor, floor slab or ramp before driving on.
A drive speed of 4.0 km/h when stowed shortens travel around a large hall, while with the platform raised the machine slows to 0.8 km/h, allowing precise positioning at the work location. A ground clearance of 130 mm means that outdoors it needs level, paved ground.
