Machine advantages

What can the Kubota KX018-4 do?

  • Fits through a garden gate

    The undercarriage narrows hydraulically to 0.99 m to pass through a gate or side gate, then widens to 1.30 m at the work site. The dozer blade widens with it, so the machine stands stably while digging.

  • Digs right next to a wall or fence

    The boom swings 75° to the left and 60° to the right independently of the upper structure. You can dig a trench along a foundation or fence without turning the machine sideways.

  • Low ground pressure

    Rubber tracks 230 mm wide and a ground pressure of about 26.5 kPa mean the machine damages lawns, paving and driveways less than heavy equipment.

  • Dozer blade for backfilling

    The blade raises and lowers by 0.23 m. Use it to backfill a trench, level the ground after the job and brace the machine while digging.

  • Economical Kubota engine

    The three-cylinder Kubota D902 diesel rated at 11.8 kW meets the Stage V emission standard, and the 21 l tank lasts a long shift.

  • Two travel speeds

    Switchable speed of 2.2 or 4.0 km/h with automatic downshifting when resistance rises: fast around the site, firm when pushing soil with the blade.

  • Hydraulic attachment circuit

    The auxiliary (AUX) circuit, with an output of 27.7 l/min, powers hydraulic attachments. Ask which attachments we can add to the rental.

  • Safe cab

    The cab is ROPS and TOPS certified and has an OPG guard (level 1). Vibration transmitted to the operator is below 0.5 m/s², so a full day's work is less tiring.

We have two units of the same machine, so a free date is easier to find, and for bigger jobs you can rent both. We deliver them to Bydgoszcz, Toruń, Poznań and anywhere in Poland.

The Kubota KX018-4 mini excavator (1.7 t class) is a machine for earthworks where a large excavator cannot get in or would damage the ground: trenches for utility connections, foundations, drainage, and work in gardens and on private properties. It narrows to 0.99 m, digs to a depth of 2.38 m and reaches 3.92 m from the slewing axis.

What jobs can a 1.7 t mini excavator do?

It digs trenches for water, sewer, gas and electricity connections and for fibre-optic cable; strip foundations for fences, garden buildings and garages; and perimeter drainage, soakaways, rainwater tanks and garden ponds. With the dozer blade you can backfill the trench and level the ground after the job.

The swing boom lets you dig right next to a building wall or along a fence, and the rubber tracks with low ground pressure work well on landscaped properties and in gardens.

Which bucket should I choose for the mini excavator?

Four buckets are included. The 25 cm bucket is for narrow trenches for cables, pipes and drainage. The 30 cm bucket is for utility connections and longer linear trenches. The 50 cm bucket is for foundations, wider excavations and loading soil. The 100 cm ditching bucket is for profiling slopes and ditches, levelling ground and finishing work.

How should I prepare access and the work area?

A gate or side gate about 1 m wide is enough for access: the undercarriage narrows to 0.99 m and widens to 1.30 m at the work site. The machine weighs 1,720 kg, so the driveway and access route should be able to carry that weight.

Before digging, establish where underground utilities run (from the base map and by marking the routes on site). We arrange delivery of the mini excavator to Bydgoszcz, Toruń, Poznań and anywhere in Poland.

We arrange delivery and collection of machines. When a transport slot is free, delivery is often possible within 24 hours of confirmation. Our base is in Brzoza near Bydgoszcz; we most often deliver to Bydgoszcz, Toruń and Poznań, and we deliver across the whole country.

Machines ready for work, with current UDT inspection

Equipment arrives on site after inspection, with a valid UDT inspection (UDT is the Polish Office of Technical Inspection; where regulations require it) and full documentation. Over 250 machines in the fleet, from well-known brands.

Can the mini excavator get through a gate or side gate?

Yes, if the opening is at least about 1 m wide. Thanks to its retractable undercarriage, the mini excavator narrows to 0.99 m and gets through a gate or a wider side gate (a typical 0.9 m side gate is too narrow), then widens its undercarriage to 1.30 m at the work site for stability.

What jobs is a mini excavator suitable for?

It is suitable for trenches for utility connections and services, foundations, drainage, earthworks in gardens and on private properties, and site tidying: anywhere that small size and working in tight spaces matter.

What buckets are available for the mini excavator?
