What is the Haulotte Star 10 used for?
The Haulotte Star 10 is an electric MEWP with a vertical mast and a platform arm, combining the manoeuvrability of a small machine with the ability to reach sideways. The 3 m horizontal outreach and a platform with a vertical working range of 130° (+70°/−60°) let you reach over racking, a production line or building services that you cannot drive directly underneath. The 0.78 × 0.98 m platform holds the operator with tools and small materials.
It is mainly a machine for indoor use (also approved for outdoor use): the electric drive with 24 V / 220 Ah batteries produces no exhaust fumes, and the non-marking tyres protect floors. A width of 0.99 m, a stowed height of 1.99 m and an outer turning radius of 1.88 m make it easier to pass through wider doorways and manoeuvre in narrow aisles. However, its unladen weight of 2,677 kg means the load-bearing capacity of a floor slab or mezzanine must be checked.
When choosing, pay attention to the number of people: indoors, 2 people may work on the platform; outdoors, 1. The lift climbs gradients of up to 25% and permits work on a tilt of up to 3°. Unlike a scissor lift, which raises its platform only vertically, the Star 10 reaches sideways, and its 345° rotation range lets you position the platform without constantly moving the machine.
