What is the JLG Toucan 10E L used for?
The JLG Toucan 10E L is a compact MEWP with a vertical mast and an arm carrying a 0.90 × 0.70 m platform at its end. This layout lets you position the machine next to an obstacle, such as racking, a production machine or a counter, and reach the work point with 3.38 m of horizontal outreach. It is well suited to replacing light fittings and installing cable trays, sensors and sprinkler systems.
The electric drive produces no exhaust fumes and runs quietly, so the Toucan 10E L is at its best indoors: in industrial halls, shopping centres and offices while they are in use. Transport dimensions of 2.82 × 0.99 × 1.99 m mean it will pass through an opening wider than 1 m and higher than 2 m. With an unladen weight of 2,600 kg, the load-bearing capacity of a floor slab, mezzanine or goods lift must be checked before driving onto it.
When choosing, it is worth comparing it with the Haulotte Star 10: both machines have the same width and a 200 kg capacity, but the Toucan 10E L offers slightly greater working height and longer horizontal outreach. Where more vertical and sideways reach is needed, the Toucan 12E Plus is the better choice, and for purely vertical work, a scissor lift with a wider platform.
