Genie error code 12 — Throttle Position (TP) sensor low voltage.
Message on the display: Throttle Position (TP) sensor low voltage.
Code 12 occurs in machines: Genie S-60, S-65, GS-3384 RT, GS-3390, GS-4390, GS-5390, Z-45/25.
warning / function limited
The Genie display shows code 12 with the message “Throttle Position (TP) sensor low voltage”. It is a warning: some functions of the machine may be limited until the cause has been removed.
Possible causes
- Faulty TP sensor.
- sensor wires shorted to ground.
- poor terminal connection.
What you can do
Switch the machine off with the emergency stop and switch it on again. If the code comes back, do not use the machine and call service.
Solution from the manual
Check for poor terminal connections OR shorted wires from the TP sencor to the ECM OR replace the TP sensor.
