Genie error code 161 — System Voltage Low
Message on the display: System Voltage Low
Code 161 occurs in machines: Genie Z-80/60, S-80, S-85, GS-3384 RT, GS-3390, GS-4390, GS-5390, Z-60/34, S-40, S-45.
warning / function limited
The Genie display shows code 161 with the message “System Voltage Low”. It is a warning: some functions of the machine may be limited until the cause has been removed.
Possible causes
- Battery is faulty.
- alternator is not charging.
- battery supply wiring to ECM is open or shorted.
What you can do
Switch the machine off with the emergency stop and switch it on again. If the code comes back, do not use the machine and call service.
Solution from the manual
Replace battery OR repair alternator OR repair battery supply wiring to ECM.
