Code 656 occurs in machines: Genie Z-80/60, S-80, S-85, GS-3384 RT, GS-3390, GS-4390, GS-5390.

The Genie display shows code 656 with the message “RTI 3 Loss”. It is a blocking fault or a safety-related code: do not use the machine until the cause has been found and removed.
Possible causes
- Loose wire connections to ECM.
- ECM is faulty.S.
What you can do
Switch the machine off with the emergency stop and switch it on again. If the code comes back, do not use the machine and call service.
Solution from the manual
Locate and repair any engine harness wiring damage or shorts to ECM to be sure they are secure OR replace ECM.
