Genie error code 43 — No power output from ECM to the brake valve coil OR ECM does not sense the brake valve coil.

The Genie display shows code 43 with the message “No power output from ECM to the brake valve coil OR ECM does not sense the brake valve coil”. It is a blocking fault or a safety-related code: do not use the machine until the cause has been found and removed.
Effect on the machine: Machine will not drive.
Possible causes
- No power output from ECM to brake coil (schematic item T).
- bad valve coil.
What you can do
Switch the machine off with the emergency stop and switch it on again. If the code comes back, do not use the machine and call service.
Solution from the manual
Check wiring and terminal at the brake coil OR check wiring and terminal at ECM.
