The Genie display shows code 24-19 with the message “Pri Boom Angle — Value out of expected range”. It is a blocking fault or a safety-related code: do not use the machine until the cause has been found and removed.
Effect on the machine: Machine limited to recovery functions.
Possible causes
- Min or max boom angle out of expected range. Crosscheck limit switch disagrees with boom angle sensor.
What you can do
Switch the machine off with the emergency stop and switch it on again. If the code comes back, do not use the machine and call service.
Solution from the manual
* Verify that with the boom stowed C68LS (BL, TCON J7-3) is 12V and that the boom is making contact with the LST3S limit switch arm. * Verify that with the boom above 12 degrees C68LS (BL, TCON J7-3) is 0V and that the boom is not making contact with the LST3S limit switch arm. * Check LST3S limit switch for physical damage. * Check bearings in rotary base housing. * Calibrate boom angle sensor.
