The Genie display shows code 27-11 with the message “Pri Boom Ret Coil — Shorted to supply voltage”. It is a blocking fault or a safety-related code: do not use the machine until the cause has been found and removed.
Effect on the machine: Boom Extend and Retract functions will not operate.
Possible causes
- TCON detected that C8PBR circuit is shorted to 12 V.
What you can do
Switch the machine off with the emergency stop and switch it on again. If the code comes back, do not use the machine and call service.

* Verify wiring for C8PBR (BK/WH, TCON J4-8) and check for open or short circuits.
