The Genie display shows code 72-21 with the message “Lift Guard Contact Alarm Switch — Fault”. It is a blocking fault or a safety-related code: do not use the machine until the cause has been found and removed.
Effect on the machine: Boom Up, Extend and Turntable rotate functions will not operate. All platform controls inhibited.

- Switch failure.

Switch the machine off with the emergency stop and switch it on again. If the code comes back, do not use the machine and call service.
Solution from the manual
ground by verifying 12 V across C31 pins 1 and 3. * Replace SW30 if necessary.
