The Genie display shows code 291-27 with the message “Platform Control Buttons — Active at Startup”. It is a blocking fault or a safety-related code: do not use the machine until the cause has been found and removed.
Effect on the machine: Disable Drive Enable, High Drive Speed, Hybrid Mode, Inverter LIft Power are disabled. Only the associated with the stuck button is disabled.

What you can do
Switch the machine off with the emergency stop and switch it on again. If the code comes back, do not use the machine and call service.
Solution from the manual
Confirm platform box overlay is not damaged. Confirm proper installation of platform display. Rubber bumpers in place and mounting bolts not over-torqued.
