Code 004 occurs in machines: JLG ES series, 1932RS, 6RS, 3248RS, 10RS, 4045R, R4045.

Possible causes
The manual does not list the causes for this code: the service technician establishes them during diagnosis of the machine.
Checks from the manual
- Fully stow the platform.
- Check that the elevation angle sensor is securely mounted.
- Check that the pothole protection switches are securely mounted.
- Check the lift/drive switch.
- Backprobing ground board J1-18 should show about 0 volts.
- Backprobing ground board J1-10 should show about 0 volts.
- Check function of elevation angle sensor. ANALYZER -> DIAGNOSTICS -> ELEV SENSOR -> ZEROED should be about 0V when stowed and about 0.15V at cutback.
What service does
A qualified service technician reads the code with the manufacturer's diagnostic tools, finds the cause, clears the code and carries out a function test.
