What is the JLG 1250AJP used for?
The JLG 1250AJP is one of the largest self-propelled articulating boom lifts: the platform works at a height of up to 38.3 m and horizontal outreach reaches 19.25 m. The articulating boom lets you first raise the platform above the roof of a lower building, an installation or trees, and then extend it sideways. This makes it well suited to steel structure erection, work on the roofs of large halls, chimneys and bridge inspections.
This is a machine for construction sites and rough terrain: 4×4 drive, rough terrain tyres, an oscillating front axle and gradeability of up to 45%. The axles are extendable: for transport the machine is 2.49 m wide, and with the axles extended it is 3.81 m wide, which must be taken into account when marking out the set-up position. The Stage V Deutz engine with a DPF reduces emissions, but being a diesel it is intended primarily for outdoor use or for large, well-ventilated halls.
When choosing, check the load-bearing capacity of the ground (unladen weight is 19,958 kg and maximum ground pressure 7.03 kg/cm²) and the access route: in the stowed position the machine is 14.48 m long, or 11.46 m with the jib folded to the side. If horizontal reach without clearing obstacles is what matters most, a telescopic boom lift will be better; when the platform has to go over an obstacle or between structural members, the JLG 1250AJP has the advantage.
