What is the Genie GS-2032 used for?
The Genie GS-2032 is an electric MEWP designed primarily for indoor use, where high capacity and quiet operation matter. The 2.26 × 0.81 m platform with a 0.91 m deck extension reaches 3.18 m in length, and the 363 kg capacity lets you take materials and tools up with you. Indoors, 2 people can work on it, protected by 1.10 m guardrails.
A width of 0.81 m allows it to pass through standard doors, and the stowed height drops from 2.18 m to 1.80 m with the guardrails folded. A weight of 1,825 kg, a floor pressure of 11.82 kPa and non-marking tyres make this scissor lift well suited to floors in shopping centres, hospitals and offices. Noise below 70 dB(A) allows work in buildings that remain open to customers.
When choosing it, note the restrictions on outdoor use: only 1 person may then be on the platform, and the maximum platform height drops to 4.88 m. The tilt sensor (3° front to rear, 1.5° side to side) requires level ground. Compared with the Genie GS-1930, the GS-2032 has much higher capacity and a longer platform, at the cost of larger dimensions and greater weight.
