What is the Genie GS-2646 used for?
The Genie GS-2646 is a wide electric scissor lift that raises its platform to 7.92 m and provides a stable work position with room for materials. The 0.91 m deck extension lets you get closer to a wall or reach over an obstacle, and 1.09 m guardrails protect the operators. This MEWP is well suited to installing services, ceilings, lighting and steel structures in warehouses, production halls and shopping centres.
The machine works indoors and outdoors, and in both cases two people may be on the platform. Non-marking tyres and the electric drive mean that this scissor lift does not mark floors and produces no exhaust fumes. A width of 1.17 m and an unladen weight of 2,447 kg require wide access routes and a load-bearing surface. Driving with the platform raised takes place at 0.8 km/h.
The natural counterpart in the 10-metre class is the JLG 2646ES: both models are 1.17 m wide with a platform height of 7.92 m, but they differ in unladen weight (2,447 versus 2,600 kg) and platform length (2.26 versus 2.50 m). On floor slabs with limited load capacity, the lighter Genie is often the more sensible choice. RK Rental machines have a current UDT inspection and mobile service support.
