Code 0x2140 occurs in machines: Genie S-85 XC FE, S-85 XC E, Z-60 DC, S-60 DC.

Effect on the machine: Reduced drive torque. Reduced regen- braking torque. Fault Action: None, unless a fault action is programmed in VCL.

Possible causes

  • Controller is operating in an extreme environment.
  • Excessive load on vehicle. Improper mounting of controller which is preventing controller cooling.
  • Controller is performance- limited at this temperature. See Programmer » System Monitor menu » Controller: Temperature.

What you can do

Switch the machine off with the emergency stop and switch it on again. If the code comes back, do not use the machine and call service.

Solution from the manual

Set: Controller’s Heatsink temperature exceeded 85°C. Clear: Bring heatsink temperature below 85°C.
