Code 221 occurs in machines: Genie Z-80/60, S-80, S-85, GS-3384 RT, GS-3390, GS-4390, GS-5390, Z-60/34, S-40, S-45.

The Genie display shows code 221 with the message “CHT/ECT High Voltage”. It is a blocking fault or a safety-related code: do not use the machine until the cause has been found and removed.
Possible causes
- Engine cooling system is malfunctioning.
- sensor wires and/or connections open or shorted.
- sensor is faulty.
What you can do
Switch the machine off with the emergency stop and switch it on again. If the code comes back, do not use the machine and call service.
Solution from the manual
Repair engine cooling system problems OR repair open or shorted wiring to sensor OR replace sensor.
