Code 222 occurs in machines: Genie Z-80/60, S-80, S-85, GS-3384 RT, GS-3390, GS-4390, GS-5390, Z-60/34, S-40, S-45.
blocking fault
The Genie display shows code 222 with the message “CHT/ECT Low Voltage”. It is a blocking fault or a safety-related code: do not use the machine until the cause has been found and removed.
Possible causes
- Engine cooling system is malfunctioning and overheating the engine.
- sensor wires and/or connections open or shorted.
- sensor is faulty.
- coolant level is low.
What you can do
Switch the machine off with the emergency stop and switch it on again. If the code comes back, do not use the machine and call service.
Solution from the manual
Repair engine cooling system problems OR repair open or shorted wiring to sensor OR replace sensor OR fill engine coolant level to specification.
