Genie error code 535 — TPS1 Higher than TPS2
Message on the display: TPS1 Higher than TPS2
Code 535 occurs in machines: Genie Z-80/60, S-80, S-85, GS-3384 RT, GS-3390, GS-4390, GS-5390, Z-60/34, S-40, S-45.
warning / function limited
The Genie display shows code 535 with the message “TPS1 Higher than TPS2”. It is a warning: some functions of the machine may be limited until the cause has been removed.
Possible causes
- The throttle position sensor wiring and/or connections for either TPS1 or TPS2 open or shorted.
- there is a poor system ground connection.
- one or both throttle position sensors are faulty.
What you can do
Switch the machine off with the emergency stop and switch it on again. If the code comes back, do not use the machine and call service.
Solution from the manual
Be sure engine harness wiring and connections are in place and secure OR repair wiring and/or connections to one or both TPS sensors OR replace one or both TPS sensors.
