Code 56 occurs in machines: Genie S-60, S-65, GS-3384 RT, GS-3390, GS-4390, GS-5390, Z-45/25.

The Genie display shows code 56 with the message “ECM - Computer Operating Properly (COP) failure”. It is a blocking fault or a safety-related code: do not use the machine until the cause has been found and removed.
Possible causes
- Under normal operation the ECM will store numbers into memory. If this does not happen, it will reset itself and set fault code 56.
What you can do
Switch the machine off with the emergency stop and switch it on again. If the code comes back, do not use the machine and call service.
