Code 54 occurs in machines: Genie S-60, S-65, GS-3384 RT, GS-3390, GS-4390, GS-5390, Z-45/25.

The Genie display shows code 54 with the message “ECM Fault - Illegal Operation”. It is a blocking fault or a safety-related code: do not use the machine until the cause has been found and removed.
Possible causes
- The ECM received an illegal instruction signal from one or more of the sensors and has gone into a default program and then return to normal operation.
What you can do
Switch the machine off with the emergency stop and switch it on again. If the code comes back, do not use the machine and call service.
