The Genie display shows code 13-27 with the message “Jib Up/Down Switch — Active at startup”. It is a blocking fault or a safety-related code: do not use the machine until the cause has been found and removed.
Effect on the machine: The Jib Up or Down functions will not operate.
Possible causes
- Toggle switch input was detected as HIGH at start-up.
What you can do
Switch the machine off with the emergency stop and switch it on again. If the code comes back, do not use the machine and call service.
Solution from the manual
* Verify with a voltmeter that the Jib Up/Down Toggle Switch (TS8) is operating properly. * C43JU (BL, PCON J17-6) should be 0 V with the switch OFF and 12 V with the switch held in the UP position. * C44JD (BL/BK, PCON J17-8) should be 0 V with the switch OFF and 12 V with the switch held in the DOWN position. * Cycle power to allow the machine to re- test the fault.
