The Genie display shows code 98-08 with the message “Platform level angle — Component fault”. It is a blocking fault or a safety-related code: do not use the machine until the cause has been found and removed.

Possible causes
- ADC failure or saturation (Electrical failure or field too strong). Analogue gain below trimmed threshold (Field too weak). Magnetic field too weak. Magnetic field too strong. Analogue gain above trimmed threshold (Field too strong). Analogue chain rough offset compensation: Clipping. Device supply Vdd >7V
What you can do
Switch the machine off with the emergency stop and switch it on again. If the code comes back, do not use the machine and call service.
Solution from the manual
* Check magnet and sensor. * Check gap between magnet and sensor (0.118 - 0.315 in / 3 - 8 mm). * Replace magnet and sensor.
