The Genie display shows code 185-11 with the message “ESTOP Source — Shorted to supply voltage”. It is a blocking fault or a safety-related code: do not use the machine until the cause has been found and removed.
Effect on the machine: ESTOP circuit cannot complete, preventing machine functions.
Possible causes
- TCON detected that ESTOP 1 is at 12 V but ESTOP 3 is at 0 V.
What you can do
Switch the machine off with the emergency stop and switch it on again. If the code comes back, do not use the machine and call service.
Solution from the manual
* Using a voltmeter and with the system turned OFF, check the resistance between TCON J5 pins 9 and 10. Replace TCON if resistance is more than 5 ohms. * Check P79PWR (BK, TCON J5-9) and P23PWR (RD, TCON J5-10) for open or short circuits.
