Code 42-11 occurs in machines: Genie S-60 XC, S-80 XC, S-85 XC, S-80 HF, S-85 HF, S-60 J, S-80 J.

The Genie display shows code 42-11 with the message “Turntable Rotate CW Coil — Shorted to supply voltage”. It is a blocking fault or a safety-related code: do not use the machine until the cause has been found and removed.

Effect on the machine: Turntable Rotate functions will not operate.

Possible causes

  • TCON detected that C4TRL circuit is shorted to 12 V or GND.

What you can do

Switch the machine off with the emergency stop and switch it on again. If the code comes back, do not use the machine and call service.

Solution from the manual

* With a voltmeter, measure Y24. Proper resistance should be between 5 - 60 ohms. Replace Y24 if resistance is outside of those values. * Verify wiring for C4TRL (WH, TCON J3- 12) and check for open or short circuits.
