What is the Genie GS-3384 RT used for?
The GS-3384 RT is one of the highest-capacity scissor lifts in its height class. Its 1,134 kg capacity and 3.98 m long platform with a 1.52 m front deck extension (and an optional 1.22 m rear one) let a crew take panels, profiles or installation components up with them. As a result, roof, façade and steel structure installation proceeds without constant trips down for materials.
This is a machine for outdoor use: 4WD, rough terrain tyres, 0.33 m of ground clearance and the ability to climb gradients of 50% suit unpaved construction sites. The self-levelling outriggers correct a slope of up to 7° front to back and 12° side to side. Bear its size in mind, however: a width of 2.13 m, a transport height of 2.00 m with the guardrails folded and a weight of 5,364 kg require suitable access and load-bearing ground.
Compared with lighter diesel scissor lifts, the GS-3384 RT wins on capacity, number of occupants and the ability to drive with the platform raised at 1.1 km/h. It is powered by a 37 kW three-cylinder Deutz diesel engine, and the fuel tank holds 113.6 l. If the work is taking place near residential buildings, take the noise level into account: 88 dBA at the ground control position and 78 dBA on the platform.
