What is the Haulotte H12SX used for?
The Haulotte H12SX is a diesel MEWP with a very long working platform: 3.91 m as standard and 6 m with both deck extensions slid out, with a width of 1.89 m. 4 people can work on the deck with a total load of 700 kg. These proportions are ideal for installing façades, gutters, external services and hall structures, where the crew moves along the wall without frequently repositioning the machine.
The machine is prepared for tougher site conditions: 35 cm of ground clearance, gradeability of up to 45%, a hydraulic differential lock and a 23.1 kW Hatz diesel engine. A tilt sensor set to 5° ensures the machine is positioned safely. When planning access, allow for a width of 2.25 m, a height of 2.59 m with the guardrails raised and a weight of 5,440 kg; these dimensions require a wide gate and load-bearing ground.
Compared with compact rough terrain scissor lifts, the H12SX offers greater capacity and a much longer deck, but it is also wider. It is a good choice when what matters is the working area at a height of 10 m rather than access through narrow passages. The 4.96 m outer turning radius is worth bearing in mind when manoeuvring between scaffolding, containers and material storage areas.
