What is the Genie GS-3390 RT used for?
The GS-3390 RT is a heavy rough terrain scissor lift with room for an entire crew together with materials. The platform is 3.98 m long and 1.83 m wide, and with the front deck extension slid out by 1.52 m and the rear one by 1.22 m it reaches 6.57 m. Such a large area is ideal for installing roofs, ceilings, suspended services and façades, where a long stretch of work from a single set-up counts.
The machine is built for outdoor use: 4×4 drive, rough terrain tyres and 0.36 m of ground clearance let it reach the work area across an unpaved site, and self-levelling outriggers stabilise the chassis before lifting. In the stowed position it travels at 8.0 km/h, and with the platform raised at 1.1 km/h. Its length is 3.94 m, or 4.88 m with outriggers, which needs to be allowed for when planning where to set it up.
When choosing, remember the 5,433 kg weight: this MEWP is meant for ground and outdoor surfaces, not for light floor slabs. With the guardrails folded, the machine height drops from 2.71 m to 2.03 m, which makes it easier to pass under low structures. Compared with lighter scissor lifts in this class, this model wins on space and capacity but gives way on manoeuvrability.
