What is the Genie SX-105 XC used for?
The Genie SX-105 XC is a telescopic cherry picker for crews working on tall industrial buildings, façades, bridges and power facilities. The platform reaches 32 m, and the 300 kg capacity lets you take more tools and materials in the basket than in typical telescopic booms of this size. The 1.52 m jib helps position the basket at a detail, and the reach of 2.69 m below the level the machine stands on makes work at quaysides and excavations easier.
The machine has extendable axles: with the axles retracted it is 2.49 m wide and the wheelbase is 4.11 m. Its stowed length is 14.25 m, its ground clearance 0.38 m and its unladen weight 19,300 kg, so the access route, the unloading area and the load-bearing capacity of the ground must be checked before delivery. Diesel power, 4WD and rough terrain tyres make it intended for outdoor use on compacted or hard-surfaced ground.
When choosing, check whether the job really requires 34 m of working height: a bigger machine means more weight and larger dimensions on site. If, however, the basket has to reach high and far with heavier equipment, the SX-105 XC is a more practical choice than a telescopic boom with a lower capacity.
