What is the Genie SX-125 XC used for?
The Genie SX-125 XC is an aerial work platform for jobs at great heights: the platform works at 38.1 m. It is well suited to building and servicing tall industrial buildings, grain elevators, chimneys, power facilities and bridges. The 300 kg capacity leaves a margin for heavier tools, while the 1.52 m jib and the 2.69 m reach below ground extend the working area to places that are hard to reach with the telescopic boom alone.
At such heights, preparing the work position is especially important. An unladen weight of 20,700 kg, a tyre ground pressure of 700 kPa and 0.38 m of ground clearance mean that compacted, load-bearing and reasonably level ground is required. For transport the machine is 14.25 m long, 3.05 m high and 2.49 m wide with the axles retracted, and the wheelbase is 4.11 m. Working in wind requires compliance with the manufacturer's limits.
In the class of the largest telescopic booms, it is worth starting the selection from the required platform height and the distance from the structure. If a lower machine is enough, you gain lower weight and smaller dimensions; the SX-125 XC is chosen where 38.1 m of platform height is genuinely needed. The manufacturer offers a 0.91 × 2.44 m or 0.76 × 1.83 m basket; we will confirm the version when you enquire.
