What is the Haulotte H43 TPX used for?
The Haulotte H43 TPX is a large aerial work platform for jobs where a typical construction cherry picker cannot reach the target. The 0.8 × 2.44 m platform rises to 40.2 m, and the horizontal outreach reaches 20 m. The turret rotates through a full 360°, the jib works through a ±70° range and the platform itself rotates through ±90°, so the operator can approach a cornice, a girder or a roof structure without repositioning the chassis.
4×4 drive, rough terrain tyres, an oscillating axle with a differential lock and 40% gradeability let it reach the work position across an unpaved construction site. The diesel engine (55.5 kW in the European version) emits exhaust fumes, so this aerial work platform is intended primarily for work in the open air. When planning, you must take into account its weight of 20,600 kg (for the load-bearing capacity of the ground, floor slabs and ramps) and the 1.58 m tail swing when the turret rotates.
When choosing, bear in mind that the permissible wind speed is 45 km/h and the machine's tilt during work must not exceed 4°, so the weather and ground preparation have a real impact on the schedule. Compared with smaller articulating cherry pickers, the H43 TPX offers much greater reach but requires more space and low-loader transport: the transport length is 14.5 m and the stowed height 3.05 m.
- Façade maintenance on tall buildings
- Steel structures of tall industrial buildings
- Bridge and viaduct inspections
- Work on chimneys and silos
- Installing large-format advertising
- Roof work with a long outreach
