A platform height of 13.94 m and an up-and-over clearance of 7.24 m let it reach over production machinery, racking or pipework and position the basket precisely at the ceiling. The 0.76 × 1.83 m platform is designed for 2 people with tools.
The machine is designed for indoor use. Stowed, it measures 6.83 m in length, 1.79 m in width and 2.00 m in height, and its unladen weight is 7,400 kg. Occupied floor pressure is 15.08 kPa and tyre contact pressure is 689 kPa; these figures are worth checking against the load capacity of the floor slab or floor. A turning radius of 1.8 m (inside) and 4.27 m (outside), together with non-marking tyres, makes manoeuvring in halls easier.
Zero turntable tail swing means that when the turret rotates, the counterweight does not extend beyond the chassis footprint, which matters in narrow aisles and when working right next to a wall. Within the 15-metre class, the Z-45/25J DC offers slightly greater working height and outreach than the JLG E450AJ, but it is heavier. If the site has no charging facilities, the Bi-Energy version will be a better choice.
