What is the Genie GS-1930 used for?
The Genie GS-1930 is a small MEWP for everyday indoor work: installing lighting, running electrical installations, fitting suspended ceilings and painting. The 1.64 × 0.76 m platform is lengthened by 0.91 m with the deck extension, to 2.55 m, so the operator can reach over obstacles without repositioning the machine. Two people can work on the platform, and proportional controls let you position it precisely beneath the ceiling.
A width of 0.76 m lets it pass through typical internal doors, and with the guardrails folded the machine height drops from 2.16 m to 1.80 m. An unladen weight of 1,456 kg and non-marking tyres make work on floors in offices, shops and industrial buildings easier. A zero inner turning radius (1.55 m outer) helps when manoeuvring between racking and workstations. This scissor lift can work indoors (2 people) and outdoors (1 person, platform height up to 4.47 m).
When choosing it, bear in mind the low ground clearance: 0.08 m, and only 0.023 m with the pothole guards deployed, so thresholds and expansion joint edges must be crossed carefully. In the stowed position the machine drives at 4.0 km/h and climbs gradients of 25%, and the platform rises in 26 s. If you need more capacity or a longer deck, a larger scissor lift such as the Genie GS-2032 will be a better choice; the GS-1930 wins on manoeuvrability and compact dimensions.
