What is the JLG 450AJ SII used for?
The JLG 450AJ SII is a 16 m class diesel articulating cherry picker with a platform height of 13.72 m, designed for work on construction sites, façades and steel structures. The boom lets you reach over obstacles up to 7.67 m high, and the turntable rotates through 360° (non-continuous). The 1.24 m jib, working through a range of +78°/-67°, makes it easier to position the basket precisely at eaves, beams or installations.
4WD, rough terrain tyres, 0.20 m of axle oscillation and 0.36 m of ground clearance let it move confidently across uneven, unsurfaced terrain at a drive speed of 7.2 km/h. Zero tail swing means that when the upper structure rotates, the rear of the machine does not extend beyond the chassis footprint, which matters when working along walls, next to road traffic and on cluttered sites. Maximum ground pressure is 5.5 kg/cm², and the unladen weight is 7,400 kg.
An inside turning radius of 1.73 m and an outside turning radius of 4.27 m make manoeuvring between scaffolding and stored materials easier.
