What is the Manitou 160 ATJ used for?
The Manitou 160 ATJ is a 16 m class diesel articulating cherry picker, designed primarily for outdoor use: on construction sites, façades, roofs and steel structures. The articulating boom with 8.3 m of horizontal outreach lets you get round cornices, balustrades or services and position the basket exactly at the work point. The 0.80 × 1.80 m platform gives comfortable space for working with tools and materials.
4WD makes access across unsurfaced, compacted ground and construction sites easier, and the combustion engine needs no charging, which matters during multi-day work away from a power supply. The 2.32 m width and 2.37 m height in the transport position must be taken into account when driving through property gates and under canopies. The 6,160 kg weight requires stable ground with adequate load-bearing capacity; on soft ground it is worth preparing a hardened surface.
