What is the Haulotte H18SX used for?
The Haulotte H18SX is a tall rough terrain scissor lift with a platform that rises to 16 m, four-wheel drive and rough terrain tyres. The spacious 4 × 1.89 m platform with a deck extension that slides out by 1 m lets you work with materials and tools without constantly going back down. This scissor lift is well suited to façade and sandwich panel installation, industrial building roof maintenance and installation work at industrial facilities.
Transport dimensions are 4.18 × 2.25 × 2.97 m and the unladen weight is 7,300 kg. Before delivery it is worth checking access: the gate must be wider than 2.25 m and high enough, and the ground should have a load-bearing capacity suited to the weight of the machine. Self-levelling outriggers compensate for uneven ground and stabilise the MEWP before the platform is raised.
Compared with the lower Haulotte H15SX, the H18SX has the same 500 kg capacity and 2.25 m width, but 18 m instead of 15 m of working height, with a weight of 7,300 kg against 6,340 kg. When a higher capacity or room for a larger crew is needed at this height, the alternative is the Genie GS-5390 RT with a capacity of 680 kg.
