What is the Genie Z-34/22N used for?
The Genie Z-34/22N is a compact aerial work platform with an articulating boom that lets you get around an obstacle and approach the work point from the side; the up-and-over clearance is 4.65 m. The machine is well suited to installation work below ceilings, lighting replacement, finishing work and racking maintenance. The 1.42 × 0.76 m platform is designed for 2 people, and the 1.22 m jib makes it easier to position the basket precisely between beams and ducts.
A width of 1.47 m, a stowed height of 2.00 m and a length of 5.72 m determine the minimum gate opening through which the cherry picker can enter a building. The unladen weight is 5,178 kg and the tyre ground pressure is 710 kPa, so it is worth confirming the load-bearing capacity of a floor slab, ramp or mezzanine before driving onto it. Zero tail swing lets you rotate the upper structure next to a wall without the risk of striking it, and non-marking tyres protect resin and industrial floors.
When choosing a MEWP, bear in mind that the Z-34/22N is lighter and shorter than larger electric articulating booms, which makes manoeuvring easier in tight industrial buildings and service corridors. In the stowed position it travels at 6.4 km/h, and with the platform raised at 1.1 km/h, so it can move safely to the next work point. 2WD drive and 0.14 m of ground clearance point to level, hard surfaces such as floors, block paving and asphalt.
- Industrial building lighting installation
- Electrical installations below ceilings
- Warehouse racking maintenance
- Work above production lines
- Finishing work in atriums and galleries
- Work right next to walls
