Possible causes
- Type 1:
- Main contactor did not close.
- Main contactor tips are oxidized, burned, or not making good contact.
- An external load on the capacitor bank (B+ connection terminal) is preventing the capacitor bank from charging.
- Blown B+ fuse.
- Main Contactor parameters mistuned
- Main Pull-in Voltage,
- Main Holding Voltage. Type 2:
- Main contactor opened during operation (while commanded closed).
- Driver wiring to contactor’s coil (e.g., pin 3 wiring) removed during operation.
- Contactor/coil defective.
What you can do
Switch the machine off with the emergency stop and switch it on again. If the code comes back, do not use the machine and call service.
Solution from the manual
Set: With the main contactor commanded closed, the capacitor bank voltage (B+ connection terminal) did not charge to B+. Clear:Reset Controller.
