Genie with Ford engine (petrol/LPG): ECM engine controller codes
Genie error code 51 — Low oil pressure.
Message on the display: Low oil pressure.
Code 51 occurs in machines: Genie S-60, S-65, GS-3384 RT, GS-3390, GS-4390, GS-5390, Z-45/25.
blocking fault
The Genie display shows code 51 with the message “Low oil pressure”. It is a blocking fault or a safety-related code: do not use the machine until the cause has been found and removed.
Possible causes
- Faulty oil pressure switch, wires shorted to ground or not enough engine oil.
What you can do
Switch the machine off with the emergency stop and switch it on again. If the code comes back, do not use the machine and call service.

Check engine oil level OR check for shorted wires or poor terminal connections from the oil pressure switch to the ECM OR replace the oil pressure switch
